Movie Monday give us 7 great, family, summer classics

Since we just passed the first “Official” day of summer, I thought I would research  and find some great, family friendly classic movies that would be perfect for the family during the hot, dog days of summer.  I stumbled across CBN’s list and I love it so I had to share.

1. Father Goose (1964) 

Passing through the dangerous waters of the South Pacific during World War II, Walter Eckland (Cary Grant) cares for nothing and no one but himself and his boat. Tricked into helping the Austrailian Navy, Walter is stranded on a remote island where he monitors enemy activity. His first big assignment is to rescue a French teacher (Leslie Caron) and her students, all girls. It’s a hilarious story that families are sure to love. Although it is a relatively calm war movie, there are a few intense scenes that may not be appropriate for kids younger than six.

Happy Tuesday!  Of all the blogging day at DCRG, this is probably my favorite day of the week for blogging because I love sharing recipes and hearing from you all on how you make substitutions as well as how your family enjoyed the recipe.  So in honor of the first week of summer, I am bringing out a classic.  Apple Pie!  But this is not your ordinary recipe; this is mock apple pie.  So….there are no apples in the recipe.  Here is what you do.
