Here's where I advertise my listings, where do you advertise yours? Please share. UPDATED!

I have been reading various blogs looking for places to advertise you listings.

There are quite a few that work for me. I'm not close to being the fabulous "already seasoned" agents on here, however I would like to share a few with those of you who may not know about a few that I use.

1. Our local MLS pushes our listings into www.Realtor.com. I don't know if this happens everywhere, but it does work here in south Florida. It takes about 3 days after you enter the listings and the pictures for it to show up on Realtor.com

2. www.Point2Agent.com is a fabulous place to place your listings. It sends them out to about 20 different sites for free and it also allow's you to purchase places if you feel the need. Check this out!

3. www.Craigslist.com, I'm sure most of you know about this site, however, these listings only last 45 days and you can only add 4 pictures. You are held to the ethics of a Realtor if you are one. However, as I understand this site, anyone can post a listing here.

4. www.Zillow.com, I know this site exists, I have not looked at it yet.

5. www.Localism.com, You know that through AR you connect to Localism if you choose.

ADD: #6. www.Iwantanoffer.com. Just visited that site...look's like another great site!

These are just a few that I know about.

Thanks for the tip on Point2agent which I'll check out. Meanwhile, how about advertising on your own web site? Some agents create a separate web site for each listing but there's little chance they will be found by the search engines. I prefer to work SEO on my website and then put listings there.

Karen, through Keller Williams, our listings get blasted out to multiple Internet sites (that seem to keep changing). In addition, I create a flyer through postlets.com and it gets sent to additional places.

Karen, when you add a listing to your point2agent site, it automatically gets syndicated to a number of different sites. Another one you may want to consider is Trulia.com.

Karen, I also advertise on our local news websites...most of them have a place to do advertising.

I've heard of postlet's... haven't gone there yet, though, flier's are always good!

I wish I had the time to post my listing's on all these wonderful sites...do I see assistant in my future...possibly...

I'm convinced Trulia.com will take over #1 from Realtor.com in the not to distant future...Easier access and more info...Check it out...Also, consider your own website linked to your community by name, newspaper etc.

I have heard mention of Trulia.com. Is that for agents and consumers? I'm guessing yes...but how does the consumer find that?

Karen- In this market, I seem to get more visitors to backpage.com than craigslist. You can use vflyer to post your listings to that site as they now have an automatic submission or use the clipboard option.

Another site I have never heard of backpage.com. Ok, now help me out here (and I'm sure a few other's) "vflyer" - can you elaborate on that - pretty please.

You all have to realize, I'm self-taught and my kids are grown. If I ask them to help me now, I get the, "Mom, it's not that hard!" Guess not, if I had a degree in IT... LOL :-)

Karen...I like Trulia, not just for listings but also for searching in unfamiliar markets...I spend a little time each day looking elsewhere just to get some input on what's happening just outside my marketing area...Go join, no charge.

www.vflyer.com and www.postlets.com both provide free web-based flyers and send them out to many search engines. I use the free flyers for sending to my SOI and my opt-in list of Realtors.

Karen, consumers find it - seems that they find everything and anything that's out there. The more places your listings can be seen, the better.

As far as backpage.com, it is similiar to craigslist. It is a site where things are sold locally. You can choose the city to post your real estate to. As far as vflyer, that is a service where you can make your own flyers, very user friendly and post them to various sites. They allow you to upload photos and listing information as well as your information. They look very professional....this service is similiar to postlets. It stores your flyers when you sign up for a free account and you have access to them all the time. I really like it. Once your listings are stored in vflyer....you can copy them to use on services such as craigslist, backpage and even here on activerain. They automatically post to many other sites when you hit the "publish" button. If you need more help, let me know.

I have my teenagers give me some quick computer classes as well....but both of these sites are pretty self-explanatory. LOL

Hi Karen I use VFlyer.com. It is very similar to Postlets.com. You can enter all the information on your listings to create flyers that you can print out or email or publish to sites like Craigslist or AR. They also automatically submit your listings to other sites. You can also create widgets that show your listings in a little slide show like you have probably seen on other members home pages. They also have a group here on AR http://activerain.com/groups/vflyer .

I also use craigslist quite a bit. I always include several links on my craigslist ads back to my website. Here is an example of one of my ads on Craigslist http://modesto.craigslist.org/rfs/620544535.html . I always indentify myself as a Realtor on my ads. Unfortunately a lot of agents using craigslist do not. I try to repost my ads on Craigslist every 3 or 5 days, but lately its been stretching out to about 10 days. If you have an account (its free) on craigslist its pretty easy to repost ads.

I have found another site classifiedflyerads.com...you can have upto25 listings and it is only $11.99 per month and it post in most of these places for you...just one click of the mouse.

Thanks for the information. Point2Agent does the same as well. Point2 is a little difficult to work and once you go so far on there, they want to upgrade and charge you for the professional package.
