The USA Men's World Cup Soccer Team plays Belgium in a quarterfinal game on Tuesday July 1, 2014 at 3 PM CDT but check local times for the games starting time. This might be the most important World Cup Game if not one of the most important games the Men's team has played in its history. Lose and the USA goes home and win advance to the round of eight teams.
We are a soccer family and love to watch excellent Futbol or Soccer. We look forward to getting up on Sunday mornings and turning on English Premier League games when its professional Soccer season. This coming World Cup Final will be played with a TV audience estimated to be over 2 Billion people. No other sporting event even comes close to that size of audience or reach across the entire world. The World plays Soccer and not American football or baseball any other sport like Soccer. Do not get me wrong wrong as we love the NFL and College Football.
I encourage all Americans whether you understand the game or not to watch and root on the USA to hopefully Victory! The Belgium Team is young and very talented. If you are not sure what is going ask your children or grandchildren as it is a safe guess that most of them play Soccer and or understand the game. . Soccer in the US has been the fastest growing sport in this country for over 20 years.
There have been so many venues all across the US where thousands of folks assemble to watch the USA team play. One being Grant Park in Chicago and it is so cool to see all those fans yelling and screaming for the USA!
Several of the games I have seen this World Cup have been truly exciting and nail biting. Watching World Cup Soccer in person you realize just how fast the game id played. I have seen one game in person during my lifetime.
I know we will be watching the game. How about you? USA.. USA .. USA..
