How to Photograph Fireworks
First item you will need, besides a good camera of course, is a tripod. Nobody wants to look at a video that is shaky. I turn that video off right away.
Second, try to keep the picture focused at one point, don't zoom in or out.
Third, don't get too close or zoom in too close. A nice background helps, like the city buildings with their lights on.
While you are filming this, you can take a few stills with your still camera. If you have the option to take double or triple exposure, by all means do so. You just might be surprised at what you can do.
