It has been said that diversity is the spice of life and I for one have to agree. Think how dull and boring it would be if everyone around you walked the same, talked the same, looked the same, smelled the same. I think that you get the picture.
In today's society, diversity is more widely accepted than it was for our forefathers. In today's world, we are more free to be ourselves.
With that said, some people do not accept diversity and are blinded by their own hatred. The best way to combat hatred is through love.

Danny, these are all great quotes and I especially like the Carter quote. While we all have different backgrounds & beliefs we can co-exist, learn from one another and enrich our lives in the process.
