Named for the town's founder and housed in the town's original school house (circa 1860), the museum features a number of varied fine art exhibits throughout the season in the downstairs art gallery. On display upstairs are historical artifacts and resort memorabilia of the Delaware Water Gap region from its beginning in 1793. An audio-visual show depicting the Gap from its earliest history to the present is shown to visitors in the restored classroom (circa 1930).

Longtime friends and wayfarers, Norm Williams and Bob Mallalieu, are joined by the fine company of Amanda Parker, Carol Walker and John James to comprise Wayfarers & Company. This exciting group performs gospel music and old time songs on traditional instruments such as guitars, hammered and lap dulcimers, fiddle, flute, mandolin, harp and banjo, as well as stirring acappella arrangements of traditional music.

On Sunday, July 13th, 2014, you can be apart of a FREE music event that will benefit the East Stroudsburg Salvation Army’s Emergency Response program! Riverfest III is an event that takes place on the front lawn of the historic Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort! Live music from 1-7pm, plus LOTS of food vendors, bounce houses for the kids, AND NEW this year: RACE TO RIVERFEST! A canoe trip on the Delaware River to race to Riverfest! Canoe race is 12-1pm, Riverfest is 1-7pm! A mile and a half canoe race! Three people per canoe! $25 per person! Win the race just in time to enjoy all the artists performing! Big prize too! Thanks Larry,  Just trying to break the misconception that there is nothing to do in the Pocono's.  I hear it all the  time, othere than skiing or going to Camelback and the outlets there is nothing else to do.  Totally not true!  :)
