We did it! It's a New Hampshire RECORD!

We did it! It's A Record!

Here in New Hampshire.... just moments ago- 8AM... we broke the record for MOST SNOWFALL IN OVER 100 YEARS!

That  now puts us at  over 113  inches
AND
Third Snowiest Season Of ALL TIME!!

The snow banks are higher than most SUV's.
It's been nearly impossible to find places to put it.
Backs are breaking from the shoveling and snow blowers are giving out.

It's been a  LONG, COLD, SNOWY winter here. Nerves are wearing thin.
I, for one, will be glad to see it GONE!
I am anxious for flowers and sunshine. Beaches and campfires.

If we had to live through it though, it is kinda fun to have set the record.
I'm afraid it isn't over yet either. We have certainly had snow fall  in April.

We may be well on our way to the
SNOWIEST SEASON  OF ALL TIME
record..... sigh.

The 1873-74 season saw 122 inches.
The snow is still falling and doesn't look to be letting up anytime soon.
How much more can New Hampshire take?

Stephanie

I know they keep the record at the state Capital in Concord and may I just say WOW!!, But at the same time that is our average snow fall at Loon Mountain, and this year (unofficially with this storm) we have exceeded 180 inches total (15 + feet now) so consider it a blessing if you don't love snow that you aren't in the White Mountains in Northern NH.

Hey Stephanie,

I know I am very tired of all this snow.  My sports car comes out of storage on Sunday and I am not quite sure where I am going to put it...
