I got a comment on my post last night from Virginia Hepp.
When Virginia reads my blog she has to scroll sideways in order to read
my blog. She does not get the whole post in one screen.
I was told once that my Vflyer widget is too wide for my blog so last
night I deleted the widget and I will install a more narrow one to fit
better on the blog. But Virginia still could not read the post all in
one screen without scrolling sideways even after I deleted my Vflyer
widget.
I am trying to help her and I need to know from all of you if this is
happening to anyone else reading my blog.
Please put in the comments here if this has also happened to you. I am
working on fixing this problem.
I then noticed when I use this Nvu platform it is set up for 1400
pixels across and then I checked Active Rain's posting platform and it
is only 664 pixels wide. But I would think that the html would correct
itself to fit into whatever area you place it within. I just moved the
Nvu pixels down to 660 across. So now I am going to post this width in
my active rain blog and see if it fixes the problem that Virginia is
having.
Nope, changing the pixels changes the entire blog all the way down and
all the blog gets squished up. So that is not the solution.
Missy Caulk
says she uses Firefox like I do and she can see the whole screen but in
Internet Explorer she can not see the whole blog. Active Rain works
best with Firefox. Please
download Firefox and see it that helps you to view the blog
better. It is FREE and it will give you a much better internet
experience. Our MLS does not support Firefox and either does the log in
features of Point 2 websites. But you can use both. I use IE for my
point 2 and for MLS and then I use Firefox for everything else. You
should not have a problem viewing our blog in Firefox.
Virginia says that mine and couple of other blogs are the only ones she
is having this issue with. It has been happening for about a month.
That is about the same time I started using Nvu to do my html. So this
might be the correlation. But the strange thing is no one has told me
about this issue.
If anyone knows exactly what is causing this please let us know in your
comments so we can address this and fix it right away. Thanks a bunch
and make sure you make it a great weekend.
