Time to plan ahead for the Utah "Biggie"
They came across the plains and into the Rocky Mountains in different seasons, in wagons drawn by oxen, or pulling handcarts, to make a jewel of the Valley of the Great Salt Lake. From the time Brigham Young declared "This is the Place", they have been honored as The Pioneers. July 24 is their day.
It's the Utah big one. Everyone is welcome.
The Pioneer Day Parade is always massive, colorful and entertaining. The evening fireworks light up the Valley all over. It's a great time for a picnic in a shady park. Utah knows how to have a good time.
You have two weeks to plan your trip to be with us on July 24. Join in the fun ~ even adopt a pioneer ancestor for the day.
Hey, for this one you don't have to bring a coat or gloves. Bring a hat and sunscreen, of course ~ it's summer here too.
