To Blog or Not to Blog?

So here I am, writing my first AR Blog.  Why am I doing this?  Will anyone actually read this? I guess I have a bit of skepticism fueled by a lack of understanding on what to expect.  Is blogging a legitimate business tool or the next cyberwave fad?

To Blog or Not to Blog -- That is the Question
For the past several weeks I've been on the sidelines silently reading hundreds of blogs on sites like Active Rain and BloodhoundRealty from the likes of Jeff Turner, Brian Brady, Ardell Dellaloggia, and of course TLW...

Each of these blog authors has their own gifted way of communicating their opinions, ideas and feedback on a variety of RE related topics.  It's in reading these blogs that I realize that the true common thread among active rainers is not so much the industry in which we earn our living, but in the willingness to provide open and honest sharing of one's experiences, opinions and ideas.  Some good -- Some bad, and to that extent -- reader beware.  However, this site is about sharing of information and raising the bar through dialogue.

A Synergy exists here in its truest form and the whole really is greater than the sum of its parts.

Business Week The price of admission? -- just commit to these 3 rules and bring on the rain:

  1. Provide value added content through your own creative expression.
  2. Leave comments as appropriate where appropriate.
  3. Grow the AR community by inviting others that will embrace this forum.

So its through the encouragement of Jeff Turner (who invited me to join AR) that I mark yet another milestone in my career (2/13/2007) and I commit myself, along with my views, into a public forum where others can comment, criticize, or expand on them.  It's through this forum that I expect to defend my position, challenge others and learn new ways of delivering a higher level of service to the clients that I serve.

For those of you that have been doing this for a while, I am open to any suggestions you can share with a newbie rainer.

I hope my blog is welcomed in your RSS.

Thanks in advance for all you have to offer.

Its a good life.
