Rainbow Hostel in Paia Maui HI - low budget accommodations for sale
This Paia Maui property was featured today on the north shore Realtor Caravan. It was something new to me, and very interesting to say the least. I must have driven by a hundred times and not realized what was there.
The Rainbow Surf Hostel at 221 Baldwin Ave. has some good and bad ratings on TripAdvisor.com and the people staying there seemed to like it well enough. There's a lot of beds, some bunk-beds, some private rooms, and a kitchen for everyone to use. The courtyard has fruit trees and an internet connection. Parking is kind of tight, but there's plenty of room for back-packers. Paia really needs something like this, and I can see how it could do well.
It's for sale asking $995,000. in the Maui MLS, for a 7BD/2.5BA home on a regular sized lot of about 7,000 sf. Not much else for sale in this beach town, and you could say this is about in the middle of the price range. It's listed by Windermere Valley Isle Properties and just came on the market 10 days ago. MLS#361204.
