Tadd Fujikawa a 5'1", 135 lb., 16 year old sophomore from Moanalua High School in Hawaii, wins the 29th annual Hawai'i Pearl Open by one shot over Greg Meyer.

Tadd recently became the youngest player in 50 years to make the cut at a PGA Tour event at the Sony Open (Formerly known as the Hawaiian Open). 

Tadd was followed all day Sunday during the final round by a crowd of over 100 fans. The crowd was smaller than those that followed him at the Sony Open.

For the second time in recent days amateur Tadd Fujikawa would have cashed large money if it were not for his amateur status.  Tadd would have won $80,000.

2^nd place finisher Greg Meyer got a $12,000 consolation prize and a trip to Japan as the low pro.

Tadd finished the final round with a score of 68 (4-under).  His tournament score was 11-under 205.

Tadd had three eagles the first two days.  Tadd was three shots off the lead with a score of 7 going into the final round. Fujikawa tied for the lead at 8-under with birdie on the seventh hole.  He shot another birdie on the next hole taking the lead and never gave it back.
