If you haven't been to a MeetUP before, they are worth attending in my opinion. The times I have attended, the topics discussed ranged between the best CRM programs, good free photo sites, the best brand of beer, the perfect website provider and what to order to eat!
Kerrie's post about Summer 2014 MeetUPs explains more. She says, "You might be asking what a MeetUp is. Well, it's an informal get together for members of ActiveRain to hang out and talk business, sports, relationships or whatever floats your boat. Everyone is on their own for drinks/food."
MeetUP groups vary in size. One of the best I attended included only three people but the learning from each other was fantastic. I enjoyed ones with 20 people present as well.
Basically, for me, it is great to put faces with names and posts. I have attended more than one MeetUP the same week in Metro Atlanta because the distances are so great. Folks live far away from each other! Once I went south of Atlanta to the Lake Sinclair area for Tammy Lankford's MeetUP. Great fun!

Since I will be in Newton, MA that day, I decided to sponsor a Meet-up myself to be sure I could have an opportunity to meet some of my favorite New England AR members. Now - hopefully - they will attend.
Knowing others in the ActiveRain community has meant so much to me. Real estate can be very competitive. ActiveRain offers another way to look at our work. I have enjoyed knowing others who understand the ethics in the Weltanschauung and who follow the Community Guidelines.

PS Long ago I wrote a post about setting up a MeetUP in case you want to do one in your area. In those days, I used lot of colorful type - now mostly black. The credit for that extreme change is due to Bob Stewart's posting lessons - one way or another! L.
