Garden of the Gods. I'm not sure if I should label Garden of the Gods as a fun thing to do or as a MUST SEE. Actually, I think I would label the Garden of the Gods as the one MUST see if someone is visiting Colorado Springs and short on time.

I have yet to meet anyone who regrets having at least driven through Garden of the Gods.

There is no admission charge to the Garden of the Gods. It's free. However, years and years ago, Garden of the Gods was privately owned and a wall was put up around the Balancing Rock. The only way to see it was to pay an admission fee. In 1909, Garden of the Gods was gifted to the city of Colorado Springs with the provision that it always be a free public park.

Debbie and I have camped at the Garden of the Gods and enjoyed it's amazing beauty for several days. We really enjoyed our 15 day Colorado camping adventure.

I saw this park driving around it in a training trip with HP in 1992. Loved it and also would call it a must see. Simply a natural wonder. Always fun getting out there.

Thanks for sharing these amazing pictures Sondra, one of the many things that I missed as I rushed through your fair city this past summer. Of course the one I missed the most was a chance to visit with you and the other prople of the area.

Sondra- I visited this area about 10 years ago and was truly awe inspired by it's beauty. Garden of the Gods is the first image that comes to mind when I think of Colorado Springs.
