Murray Middle School has a rich historic past. In 1929 the one room school house that portions of still exist across the street was built to serve the growing community. It was called Stuart Training School.
In 1959 the Board of Education bought 19 acres across the street and started the construction of a high school. It was completed in 1964 and named and dedicated as Murray High School after the Murray family who served as educators in the community for many years, two of which were principals in our Murray history. For ten years our current location served as a high school and then in 1974 with the population growing it became Murray Middle School serving 6th, 7th and 8th graders in the community. Many new buildings and renovations have occurred over the years but the fine quality of education remains the same. Our faculty and staff is dedicated to creating life long learners.
