URL's tell your story

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Russell Realty Group

Picking a URLYou’d be hard pressed to find, especially these days, a company that does not have a website. If you don’t have a website, well, you are really placing your business in a tiny pigeonhole. You need to provide a website that represents who you are and what you do; an Internet based presence has become essential in business.

Believe it or not, one of the best marketing tools we have in real estate is the website address or “URL.” Your website address (URL) really tells your story. Take my website address, for example; it is TheBostonMLS. This address name alone will lead people to think that THIS is Boston’s MLS, this is THE search site. You can search, for instance, HomeBuyerAgentInMarblehead or BuyAHomeInMarblehead, for example. The URL really tells the story of where you are and what you do.

When picking a URL it’s really easy to find a generic one such as TheRussellRealtyGroup or EvanSellsRE or anything of that nature, really. In a case like us, we’ve got many URLs… We’ve got OpenHousesInBoston, SearchforBankOwned, BankOwnedBostonHomes, FreeOpenHouseList, etc. Your URL lets you show an Internet searcher, at first glance, the story of what your business can do for them.

When someone approaches me and asks for my information, you know what? I make it easy!  “Just go to NorthAndoverHomeSearch and you will be able to find all of my information there.” It’s as simple as that and that’s really what they want. They already know who you are, now they want the information that you are capable to provide. What better way to do that than a unique web address? So make your way to GoDaddy, put in something that’s catchy, (ie: NorthAndoverHomesforsale, AndoverHomesforSale, TewksburyHomesValues, ChicagoRentals, ChicagoCondos, etc.) whatever you want people to see online what you do, whatever you can find! Let your URL tell the story of your blog, it’s also SEO friendly and I think you will have a lot of fun with it.

Our url's are great examples we feel.
