Open Car Show with River Cities Corvette Club and Bachman Chevrolet

Go to Hurstbourne Lane on July 13 for the Open Car Show, a fun-filled event hosted by the River Cities Corvette Club and Bachman Chevrolet. Even if you aren’t entering a vehicle in the show, you’ll enjoy looking around at all the amazing cars on display.

Visiting the Cars

The show will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, and registration is open until 1 pm. All cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome to register for a $15 fee.  Admission to the show is free. Several awards will be given out during the event: Top 100, Best of Class and several specialty awards. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day to all visitors.

While you’re there, feel free to wander around and look at all the amazing vehicles on display. If you work up an appetite while you’re walking, no problem. Concessions will be available all day.

You’ll find the Open Car Show at Bachman Chevrolet at 9650 Bluegrass Parkway. The show is held by the River Cities Corvette Club on the second Sunday of every July. All of the proceeds from the event, 100%, are donated to Hosparus of Louisville. The 2013 show netted more than $25,000 for this organization.

Hosparus provides hospice care to patients wherever they live, providing counseling and care to all patients and their families. It’s a much-needed service, and the Open Car Show provides them with much-needed funds.

Cruising Around Hurstbourne

The Bachman Chevrolet is surrounded by several other car dealerships, so you're in the right place if a buying mood strikes you. You'll be close to Linn Station and Taylorville Roads, where you'll find shopping, eating and other amusements of all types.

Hurstbourne Acres is nearby, a beautiful neighborhood right next to the Oxmoor Country Club. The St. Regis Park neighborhood is just on the other side of the country club. Go to the other side of I-64 to find the Hurstbourne community and Hurstbourne Country Club. All of these neighborhoods are filled with beautiful homes. The large community Douglass Hills is nearby, too. You’ll find cozy and sprawling neighborhoods in this part of town, plenty of place to eat, shop and live. After you drive to the car show, keep driving around the Hurstbourne area to see these communities for yourself.
