Thorntown Indiana now has a gas station once again, after many years absence.  The new Marathon Gas Station and convenience store is now open!

The new Marathon gas station in Thorntown has now opened and it is open from 6 A.M  till 10 P.M. every day.  The gas pumps are open around the clock for those paying with a credit or debit card.

The new gas station is located across the fire station and elementary school in Thorntown on State Road 75 South. 

The Address is:  405 South West Street, Thorntown IN 46071

That's a good thing to have, especially if they also have a convenience store.

Georgie, it does have the convenience store inside, although there is some speculation this will hurt the grocery store uptown.

Nathan, I was in the new Marathon yesterday and it did not look well stocked, and had few grocery items compared to Railers.  The concern with Railers is the cigarette and lottery ticket sales which could be lost to the new Marathon.  Those are sales items with high profit margins.  Thanks so much for your visit and comment!  It will sure be nice to have gas in Thorntown and  not worry about running on empty to get gas in Lebanon.
