Fish Are Friends

What better way is there to support the Houston “Bay” area than conservation? The CCA works at great lengths to ensure a long-lived and healthy coastal environment. Don’t just enjoy nature, make it last, so that future generations will be able to experience the wonderful opportunities you had. Even if you don’t dabble in the nautical sorts, or like to fish as a hobby, anyone can donate as well as contribute through volunteer efforts.

There are quite a few meetings you can attend for those more involved, some even have guest speakers. They do a lot of projects to conserve and even rebuild ecosystems. As an avid fisherman I find it important to play my part so others can enjoy the water as much as I do. This sounds great and all but by now you may be asking, where do I sign up? As far as I know the Academy in Webster and online are most likely the easiest places. Its $20 to join, but you get a free fishing magazine subscription and some decals, and who doesn’t love those? Get out there League City, Webster and Clear Lake; the coast is about 30 minutes down the road and your 5 minutes away from Academy, do your part.
