Polk County Fair July 24-27 2014, dont miss the memories

When I was a kid the Polk County fair was the event that we waited for all summer.

A time to get away from the farm for a few days, see our friends, maybe take along a special girl.

Also a time to show off our skills with 4-H and FFA exhibits where we could exhibit our prize Cattle, Horses, and other livestock as well as other things like crops, baked goods, sewing, and many more of the things that farm people proudly produce.

And then there was the other Fun stuff, like the carnival, the demo derby, the musical events, horse races and so many other things that are fun to take a date to.

This summer will be a great time to renew some of those memories and create a few more.

Bob, Being a real "country" gal, I've always loved these shows, it's a great way for the local residents to showcase and share their talent and hard work.
