Moving to a new city can be tough at is for adults but for children it can be very traumatic. They find themselves leaving their homes, schools, and their friends and entering into a strange new town where they have to start all over. Well, to help ease the move for your children I have provided a list of local teen and children’s hangout where your children have the opportunity to partake in unique, fun activities and make new friends.
Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley: The mission of The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley is to provide a child-centered, hands-on, interactive environment for learning and discovery for children. Only $5 or less a person.
Boys and Girls Club Brazos Valley
Grand Station Entertainment: Grand station has everything from high school aged bowling teams to FREE bowling days for KIDS.
Royal Oaks Alpaca FARM: Just minutes from TAMU, Royal Oaks offer tour of their alpaca farm for a minimal fee.
Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History: The Museum hosts, tours, lectures, and classes. Educational programs for children include nature Camps, birthday parties, and school field trips. Discovery kids is available for teachers and kids as learning aids. Admissions is only $5 or under.
These are just a few fun activities that your children can partake in and to help introduce them to the B/CS Area.
