I was recently at a home that was in desperate need of power washing. You'd think I asked the seller to have open heart surgery.
Great info! Curb appeal is a important item. In my probate business it can really make a huge difference. Thanks for the post ! Looking forward to more like it :)
Suzanne great tips. I once told a seller buyers could not see the property due to over grown greens in the front yard. He cut them back and within a week the home was was under contract.
I like the fact that these tips will fit any budget...no more excuses for sellers to spruce up their listing...
Those are great tips for improving curb appeal. They certainly wouldn't cost much, but would likely get a lot of bang for the buck in marketing a home.
Great ideas, Suzanne! For a minimal cost, these ideas should give a huge return but are often overlooked. Thanks for sharing.
Great suggestions, Suzanne, and powerful solutions for not a lot of time or money invested. As I always tell sellers "you don't have a second chance to make a good first impression" and curb appeal is that first impression.
Suzanne, these really are great tips and require little effort on the part of the seller for what could be a much greater return.
Suzanne, Tammie's comment about power washing made me laugh. It alone can make a huge difference in the appearance.
Great post/advise! Every time I see homes with beutiful curb appeal I'm always inspired to run home and improve on mine!! :)
So true, so true. I just spent less than $50 and updated a little corner section in the front yard that I've been wanting to do ... for years. An old juniper bush was there and when it got ripped up, nice little plantings went in.

Great ideas here, Suzanne. You're so right that your first impression starts before you enter the house.
Thanks for the share Mercy!
Doesn’t hurt to switch things up a bit Evelyn J
So true Nick & Trudy. You can’t live the way you have been when you’re selling.
Thanks Margaret!
Thank you Karen!
Lol, Tammie! Some sellers will just never get it.
Curb appeal sets the tone for the rest of the home Gary. Thanks for stopping by J
Sometimes it’s as simple as that Frank.
That’s the idea Vanessa!
It’s the little things that can make the biggest improvements Myrl.
Thanks for stopping by Bruce!
Exactly Nina! Once you’ve lost their interest, it’s hard to get them back.
It certainly does Jeff.
That’s one of the main components of home staging Nick J
Me too Debbie J
I know Addie! It’s inspiring.
Wonderful Carla! And I bet you feel so good now every time you look at that spot.
Thanks Debbie.
Very nice tips, especially on the doors. They do more than provide access. Front doors lend character to a home’s architectural style. They can offer stunning curb appeal that improves the property value.
Thank you Suzanne...these are all weekend mostly inexpensive, DIY projects, that will only add value to your home. Couldnt agree with you more! My parents paint their shutters and front door every other year...are they crazy!?
Great tips Suzanne! Creating a curb appeal is probably one of the least expensive ways to create some interest and works each time.
The simplest one day projects can make such a big diffrence! I adore potted plants that can be changed out to suit the season!
