VA FAQ #17 - How soon after a Foreclosure can I qualify for a VA Jumbo Loan?
We offer VA Jumbo Loans up to $2.0m as soon as 24 months after your prior Foreclosure. The operative date may surprise you, as it varies by state and the methods of Foreclosure Transfers. In most states, it is based on the Trustee deed or Sherrifs deed, which corresponds to the date the home was sold on the courthouse steps.

Note, if the prior loan was a FHA, USDA or VA Loan, please contact us to help determine eligibility timelines - since these loans are backed by the Government, the waiting period might vary depending on circumstances.
Note - If your prior Foreclosure was included in a Discharged Bankruptcy and surrendered, we will use the date of the Bankruptcy discharge as the operative date. If you are being told by your Lender you must wait due to the homes sale date being a very long period after the BK discharge, call us. We allow this, many lenders do not.
