This is not a post on constructing a home but the principals are the same. When you take the sweat of your brow, your hard-earned money, your time which is priceless and put it all into something trying to create or sustain a value, if you do not have a strong foundation on which it can all stand, the first storm to appear and do its thing will teach you quite a bit about the good foundation principals
THE STORMS HELP US TO ASSESS
The Storms of life are designed to test your beliefs. If you have some faulty thinking, then it is time to modify or remove those beliefs before the next life storm comes a calling. The first storm taught us what does or does not work. If we adjust and learn from it, we stand a better chance for the next one
NOT PUT HERE TO BE DEFEATED
There will be next one. Some are severe, some less and some short while others pound away. One thing is however interesting. If you believe in purpose and identity, then you will know that you were not put here to perish but to live now and in the times to come. The storms help make the point. Rise to them!
THE TESTS HELP MAKE STRONG...STRONGER
Consider that those tall oak and redwood trees grow stronger from the winds and floods that come against them because their roots develop and flex their muscle power making them dig in even deeper. The more powerful the storm, the more resilient the tree. Eventually, it will learn to stand until the end of its natural life or all life.
GO SLOW BUT SURE
Sand or rock the wise man says. What will you build on? You see you have to have a foundation. Will it stand, or hold is another matter. From time to time we will be tested and then adjust along the way becoming stronger and wiser with a few beatings and bruises that life serves up. But never destroyed
