Where did your last transaction come from.

I’m writing a couple of new social media clock hour classes and I want to update some of my research. I can’t think of a better group to ask than my friends here on Activerain. Also, it’s giving me an opportunity to play with Google Survey!

I’m going to incorporate surveys before and after my classes and workshops to better understand my clients wants and needs.

After you submit the survey you’ll see a link that will take you to a “results” page with a complete analysis and graphs. It’s pretty cool! Do any of you use Google Surveys or Forms?

Thanks for your help! The results of this survey are anonymous.

P.S. Like me, I know several of you are in other related businesses like lending, inspectors, technology, appraisers, stagers, etc. etc. Please participate!

Rene this was a great survey.  My results in the last few years has slowly switched to referral from sphere combined with blog/website.  It use to be mostly blog.

Now that is pretty cool to be able to insert the survey right into the blog post.  Good survey. I do recommend you allow a manual write in at the middle of the survey also. You might gain a more insight into the participant.  Again, great post.

Thanks Carla... I agree, I initially was going to publish it as public. Let me mull that over and I will let you know. Maybe tomorrow I'll change it to public. It would be of great value to all to see the results, regardless if they comment on the blog (one has already done the survey, but did not comment), or if they are on Activerain. If all in the industry were able to chime in I think the stats would be very very interesting. Thank you!

Carla... and all... When you finish the survey there's a link to see the results and a report. But I will publish the results after the contributors numbers peak and we have enough data to get a good snapshot.

Hi Pete... I think sometimes it's about the questions. A lot of the reasons I go to the net is trying to find answers. Everyone is telling me stuff, but they never ask me anything. I see using the forms and survey from Google as a great tool for those in real estate. Get your data from the source. Thanks!

As of today, Friday 7/25/2014 135 people have viewed the post, 25 from outside Activerain, and 18 have taken the survey. I was hoping for more than that so I'm going to let it ride for a couple more days and publish results. I hope we get enough survey takers to give us a good snapshot of the current business climate, the results thus far are very interesting I think especially, What one activity created the last opportunity for your last transaction? Blogging = 7 (out of 18)...

Debb... I should have created a video category. But, it was my first attempt in a long time. But, I will in the next one. And, thanks friend, video is such an important piece of the social web strategy. I'm usually behind the camera and this year I definitley need to step in front.
