Great Opportunities for Great Deals - Just Head South!
Everyone knows that Phoenix and most of Arizona took a hard hit when the market crashed. Maricopa was one of those cities that were hit the hardest. We even made an episode of Nightline for a city that took a beating. Streets were littered with For Sale Signs. Foreclosures were everywhere. Maricopa began to look like a ghost town.
Several years later the bust created a huge boom. Homes in Maricopa were being snapped up for 60k - 80k. I’m talking a 4,000 sq ft home for 100k! It was crazy.
Fast forward a few more years to today. While the homes are rarely south of $100,000 (although they do still show up once in a while around 95k, homes for sale in Maricopa are still fantastic values.
Most of the city was built from 2002 on and the majority of the homes were built in 2006. Maricopa offers many “newer” homes as compared to older cities closer to the Phoenix area.
With homes starting at around $105,000 there are still some great values here in Maricopa! As of today there are 500 homes currently active for sale. Of those: 80% (405 homes) are $200,000 or less. Oh, and several of those are 3,900 sq ft!
