Quick Ways to Improve the Look of Your Home

 

Today, I'm taking a little break from talking about home staging. While I love to help sellers get buyers to fall in love with their home, I also enjoy making existing homeowners fall in love with their home all over again.  Redesign can make that happen. Here are some quick ways to improve the look of your home, without spending a ton of money.

 

1) Wall-coverings-While painting can refresh your space, there are some other options out there to add some style to
 your space. Adding an accent wall using either a different color paint than the rest of the room or applying wallpaper can really make a room pop. There is also paintable wallpaper that adds subtle style with texture to your wall.

 

2) Throw pillows and curtains- A sure fire way to bring new life to your space is to refresh your curtains and throw pillows. You can add a new color using these accessories and completely change the look and feel of your room. I often switch out my own accessories with the seasons so I always have a "new" look.

 

3) Slip covers- Another quick way to improve the look of your home. If new furniture isn't in your budget, slipcovers can give them new life. Picking a neutral colored slip cover will allow you to add/change color through your accessories. 

 

4) Layout switch up- If you want your room to look new, trying changing the layout of the furniture. Swapping your couch and chairs in different arrangements will create new uses for the space.
