Homes for sale with a guest house in Boca Raton FL - either you love them or hate them.  I love them!  They are very Florida in feel with more open-air living space.    Homes with a guest house are commonly referred to as Courtyard homes or Courtyards in Boca Raton, FL.  

A courtyard is not a traditional house.   What is meant by a courtyard home is that all rooms open into the courtyard where you will usually find a pool, sometimes  spa and summer kitchen, as well. Everything revolves around the courtyard offering the homeowner privacy.  Courtyard homes are single family homes but often have separate guest houses.  These guest houses may have one bedroom and one bath, perhaps even a kitchenette.  Guest houses may be single or double-storied and have more than one room.   People find guest houses useful as offices, exercise rooms, guest rooms and more.  

This type of home is unique in that the main house and guest house have separate entrances yet are under the same roof.   There may be beautiful iron gates or double door entry leading into the courtyard.  What curb appeal!  Detached guest houses are not as common in this area.  Homes with a guest house in Boca Raton make wonderful use of Florida's indoor/outdoor living spaces.  This is true Florida-style living at its best! 

Homes for sale with a guest house often have small backyards.  The reason for this is the house is pushed back to make room for a pool within the courtyard.   Homes for sale with a guest house can be as small as 1700 or as large as 10,000 or more square feet.   The larger the home, the larger the courtyard.
