Another Book That I would Recommend

By
Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

I have been re-reading Real Estate Success for Dummies, by Dirk Zeller.  I highly recommend it to any Realtor.  It is written int he Dummy format, but it contains a lot of great information that goes beyond the sales training to run your business as a business.  It takes you through marketing to FSBOs and Expired listings through time management, and it gives you sample scripts.  I read it right after it first came out, and I will be honest, I had forgotten much of the content.

Old timer or Newbie I HIGHLY Recommend this book.  I have found several things that I can do to add to my effectiveness in my business.  I would also recommend that if anyone is like me, re-reading materials can be highly productive.

I just recently read a book by Michael Port, called "Book Yourself Solid", that is really fantastic.  It's not just  for agents, but for anyone in the service or consulting industry.  There is a workbook you download to go along with it and I really learned a lot. You can check him out at www.bookyourselfsolid.com

Thanks for your comments, I can see why you would use this book as a text book for a class.  When we get to the position to open a brokerage, we plan on using it for new agent training.  I will have to check out Book Yourself Solid, thanks for sharing that with me.

I agree with the idea of re-reading a book especially these types of books.  It's the layering effect.  As you implement the ideas, you'll grow...as you grow, you'll be able to understand the concepts on a deeper level and even add some new growth.

I have not really sat down with any of the books in this series. Usually reading a relevant chapter here and there, but they have always been informative. I think this may be the first one that I read all the way through.
