DO THIS IF YOU CAN

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with people first...then business Ran Right Realty 636943 licensed to thrill

Leave everyone on a positive note. Here is the premise. You never know what is going on with the other person that is causing them to not be all they could be. Furthermore, you may never see this person again either. Another thought is that someone may need your talent or skill to help them to their next step. What am I driving at here? If you leave all in a fair and acceptable way, then you will NO have regrets now or later

EVERYWHERE YOU GO...THERE THEY ARE

Human life and the living of it is not to be taken for granted. Yet the pressures and man-made problems that visit with us all day long pull us into another direction. We slowly become obsessed with acquiring wealth, going from point A to point B and not wanting to operate outside our comfort zones

HELP GOT YOU STARTED AND KEPT YOU GOING

Think about this statement I am going to make. No one has got to where they are without the help of someone else. You can start with your birth, then go to kindergarten and from there easily see how tens of thousands of people and events have helped shape your life...

LOOK INTO THIS

If you don't have a heart of joy and giving, so be it until you do. But I ask you not to cause others unnecessary suffering or misfortune by an unkind word or deed if you can help it. I believe you can. Say or do whatever must be said or done, but include some must have dynamics with it:

1. Say what you will but remember what ST. Augustus said. Love first, then do as you will.

2. Use please and thank you even if the other person is not worthy of it. They are but you cannot see or hear it when you are in an emotional state. However they will either in that moment or later on

3. Keep it short. No redundancy. No yelling and finish what you started or don't start it at all

4. Make sure there is no resentment in your demeanor. If there is, then you are not 100% on this

I HATE HAVING TO DO THIS....but

The other day, I had to hold accountable someone who is under criticism from different sources. I told them the truth and their response was personal followed with..I hurt their feelings. I have no doubt that this took place. However, the reason why we were talking is because their "wrong' conduct commanded it. You hurt your own feelings and that of others. Think: Or why are we talking then?

START-OVER...THAT'S ALL

You needed to be reigned in and I had the unpleasant job of doing it. I am sorry sez I, but unless you do something about what everyone is complaining about, they will take it to the next step. Its your choice and then I signed off with...please...Please...PLEASE...take this in for your sake

and off I went...may we all come around for the better when it is our turn to do so

Hey Richie - I am a firm believer that everyone one makes the best decision they can based on the environment and their resources. WHile their decision may hurt others it is the best one they can make. Giving them additional resources, knowledge and or the ability to see themselves from someone else's point of view is a great gift.

Words of Wisdom from my mom:   "They are just doing the best that they know how."   That has been my motto for dealing with other people and it's amazing how it helps to calm frustration and see things from another perspective.  My new motto is from you now - "Leave Everyone On A Positive Note" - that's fantastic!

Richie, it is not something I have always been good at.  But I have learned it is better to take the high road and when all possible treat others with kindness and respect.

Hi Richie,  I learned a long time ago when I had an employee that I was the supervisor.  Because of his bad behavior, not going into details, we had to fire him. Watching his response taught me how not to act when something doesn't go your way.  Ever since, I have always remembered that when I come across a situation.  It pays to be gracious even in bad times. Remember, others are watching!

I share your sentiment in doing right by others, whether they seem to deserve it or not.  Also, I try to never leave anyone on bad terms, never know if you'll have an opportunity to make up for it.
