2014 Georgia Back to School Tax free shopping

It's that time again folks, the back to school tax free shopping for kids school supplies, computers, and clothes. Where did summer go?  Can it really be time to go back to school.  I don't have children at home for "back to school" anymore, but my daughter will be back in college (again) this fall.  That girl has ambition!

It's good that the tax free sale is before school starts this year.  Last it wasn't.  It will be August 1st and 2nd. Below is a link to what is exempt from taxes and some items that are not exempt as well.

I might have to take Abigail school supply shopping tomorrow if she's up for fighting the crowds.  And there will be crowds.

This is a great way to give back to the community Tammy! School supplies can be very costly and this will be the first year we will not have to buy...empty nesters.

Tammy, It is Tennessee's tax-free weekend and it last through Sunday night. It is a great time to save some money for those much needed back to school items.

Everybody get a move on!  There is tax-free shopping to be done.  I just read an article about stocking up for the whole year when these sales occur, and you add the tax-free to a sale price, and you are really winning!

We have no sales tax in NH so it is alway a "tax free" day.

Wanda- we've been that way for a while, but our kids keep going back to college

Debbie- that would be nice to have three days

Jordon- got some big ticket items for my daughter this year

Ron- I did that every year when the kids were in school

Joan- relatively speaking you pay as much tax in property taxes to make it up from what I'm reading about property taxes there.
