City of Malibu to Unveil Personalized Tiles on Cross Creek Road

The tiles, which raised nearly $70,000 for the Malibu Legacy Park Project, will be installed along the sidewalk on the west side of the recently revitalized Cross Creek Road or as part of the inlaid tile mediallion at the corner of Civic Center Way. The medallion was designed by Janine Waldbaum of Malibu Tile Works, who also stenciled the Legacy Park logo and personal inscriptions into many of the new tiles, over 400 of which were ordered as part of a Legacy Park fundraiser. Another 90 tiles were hand-glazed at the City's "Paint Your Own Tile" event in November 2007.
