MORE THAN ONE WAY TO SKIN THE CAT

Here kitty kitty....? NO...that's not the point. What this means is that there is more than one way to get things done. Where the system breaks down is where people try to make nice with their problems instead of terminating them. Then, there are those that are so rigid that they wont let you or others do any skinning but their way and that doesn't work either..

THEY COME WHEN THEY COME

Many problems go unsolved because we get stuck and mired down in our beliefs. Problems for the most part come out of no where very much unexpected too. Think about this. If we knew it would be a problem, then we would prepare or eliminate it ahead of time. They come when they come and for a reason to...

ITS OUR TRAINING ARENA

They are to be solved. Conquered! Ruled and dispensed with. Outed, bouted and bye! Mankind was not put here to fail but to rise to the occasion of all things presented. As stewards of the earth, the buck truly stops with mankind. That means every one of us has some problem solving to do. Cat skinning if you will not cat-napping

CAT-NIP?

When there is no accountability or where denial and blame run rampant, you will hear lots of screeching noises. This is the cat being fought over instead of being tamed and dealt with. More meow and purr... and less Grrr will generate better outcomes. Cat-nip...it in the bud if you will

GO TOWARD THE ARENA

The only way to become an effective crime fighter is to fight crime. You jump in the mix and figure it out as you go using trial, error, and course correction. You don't give up but instead tweak your approaches so that every time you take a beating or make a misstep, you learn from it. You become stronger for it. Never fear: The problems presented always come with a solution or two or three!

THIS IS TRUE VALUE

Everything I have done and will do is deliberate. As you get older, you sort of become predictable and know what works and what doesn't. Then, implementation is second nature. Familiarity does this. Experience does this and professionals eat this dynamic up. They then charge others for this expertise. Money well spent here if you do

DAVY CROCKETT

Lets ask Davy Crockett what he thinks about skinning and problem solving: Well says Davy, if they are ornery and persistent and wont' come around, I make hats, boots and jackets out of them. I guess that's why they called him "King of the wild frontier"

Very thought provoking article. Well thought out and said. Thanks Richie, have a great weekend. We do get better at problem solving the more we have a hand in it.

Richie.  Oh that darn cat skinning phrase - it just gives me the chills.....  But I get the point.  We need to accomplish our goals whatever the process is to get there.

Richie,

Oh how I wish your e-books would be mandatory for students everywhere. You're a scholar and a gentleman! I love this story. I wish AR had a Like button and a Love button. You would have gotten both from me!

In my opinion, I think many problems are created when people don't recognize the problem to begin with and they skip the analysis part, ignore the problem, or when people don't even try to solve the problem or think about alternative solutions. This is one of my favorite posts! Thank you Richie!

Hello Patricia...the answers we are seeking are in us...sometimes all they need is to be shaken and stirred so they can rise to the surface and serve us. The PEARLS SERIES of books takes that approach

Richie, in real estate we always run up against some hurdles, and when the agents can work through issues without attitude sure is optimum

WOW Richie I must say this is a great thought provoking post.  My brother use to say "there's more than one way to skin the cat".  As a young boy he was always thinking of easy ways to deliver the newspaper.  I once went with him and was fun watching how he would toss the papers right next to the doors. Then he got a bicycle and it was easier and less time consuming than walking.  He actually paid for his own bike.
