Hermosa Pier

When I moved to the Los Angeles area 25 years ago Hermosa Beach became my favorite of the beach cities. I liked to shop in Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach was closer to Palos Verdes so I frequented many of the shops in Hollywood Riviera and dined at several of the local eateries. But Hermosa felt like a beach town. With its long stretches of sand and surf, quaint little shops and array of local diners it was a fun place to spend a relaxed day at the beach, and it still is. Although many of the beach cottages have been replaced with beach villas and mansions, the relaxed attitude and informality still lets everyone know Hermosa is still a beach town at heart.

Hermosa Beach luxury home sales priced over $2,000,000 for July 2014: Two Hermosa Beach luxury properties sold during July 2014. Both were single family homes.

Five Hermosa Beach luxury properties are in escrow with accepted offers and there are eight luxury homes (two are townhouses) currently for sale.

I love the 'beach town' feel and the small mom & pop shops, one of the reasons I love Newport Beach & Balboa so much down here in OC.  Haven't been to Hermosa yet but it sounds like a great spot.
