Fun Facts About Annapolis... The Liberty Bell

Did you know Annapolis has their very own Liberty Bell? Well we do and it sits on St Johns College in Annapolis.

The Liberty Bell in Annapolis

Seems that back in the early 1950's a whole bunch of children throughout Anne Arundel County (that's the county Annapolis is located in) donated a slew of pennies to have the pediment erected to hold the Liberty Bell. The marker further says that in standing before this symbol you have the opportunity to dedicate yourself, as did our founding fathers, to the principles of the individual freedom for which our nation stands.
