Steve, I think this is the first major election where the hidden internet blogs have as much effect on the vote as the mass media reporting.   It's a strange new world...

Brian, that is an interesting proposition.  Perhaps this is the first national election wherein the major media cannot control the outcome?  By way of blogs and email and twitter and other social networks, people are retaking their information processing and making some decisions for themselves.  Thus, the PARTY choices (Hillary or Guiliani) aren't doing as well and the PEOPLE'S CHOICE (Barack and McCain)

Tina, that blogette site is very interesting and shows Senator McCain's family side well. 

I take great delight in seeing the significance of the "drive by media" being diminished.  This may be the first presidential election where the blogosphere will determine the conversation rather than having the main steam media tell us what we should know and think.  The number of people who have viewed the Tuzla and Rev Wright videos makes me smile. 

I give credit to all the pajama bloggers who exposed the forged CBS (Dan Rather) memos!  It certainly gave the blogosphere a boost!

The speed at which we all acquire information, comment, debate, make decisions and then recruit others to our positions is truly amazing.  The major media is still talking about 2000 and Florida and the blogosphere is engaging real voters at virtual speed.
