YouTube Thursdays - Getting the Most Bang for your Buck with Videos
I read an interesting article in Inman News recently about YouTube videos, and specifically, YouTube videos for Real Estate. It confirms my belief that community/market based videos give you the best chance to connect with prospective clients.
According to the author, Stephen Schweickart, 86 percent of online house hunters watch videos to learn about a specific community. If you’re the agent producing videos about your local market, guess who become a valuable, and perhaps trusted, resource?
Your community-centric videos can be about area businesses, interviews with business owners, schools, neighborhoods, parks, or events. You get the idea. The sky’s the limit. After all, your market is the lifeblood of your business, the more you highlight it ( and know about it), the better.
Schweickart is the founder and CEO of VScreen, the nation’s leading video services company within the real estate industry. The statistics he refers to in his article are from "The Digital House Hunt: Consumer and Market Trends," a joint study by the National Association of Realtors and Google.

Testimonial Videos - It’s nice to watch happy and satisfied clients sing your praises. 30 percent of online prospects watch these videos.
About Me/Us Videos - Most agents think they need to produce this video first. In reality, this video will be more valuable once you’ve established yourself as the “market expert.” 25 percent of online prospects watch agent and company profile videos.
This month, Bob Crane hosts a summer video challenge encouraging us to produce three outdoor community videos showcasing seasonal fun. Not only will you get points, 800 per video blog, you’ll gain SEO and eventually new clients. ( It's working for me!)
