Many of us cannot afford acreage in Northern Colorado. Its expensive, takes a lot of water to maintain, etc. However, most of us do crave a little peace and quiet when going home for the day.
I suggest people who want to wind down a little after work, look into the small community right outside of Fort Collins, called Severance. Severance is 5 miles from Windsor and also Fort Collins. Its also close to I-25 and the Country Club golf course.
Too young to retire, but still want a place to retire to? I suggest looking into houseing in Timber Ridge. Timber Ridge offers a variety of home styles, many of them ranches, and has enough yard to allow you to sit on your patio without the neighbors hearing your conversations. The community has 6 ft fencing and extremely low HOA Dues ($155 a year).
Another great thing about the community is you can purchase pre-owned with trees and landscaping, or purchase brand new, as they are still building there.
