ASK AN AMBASSADOR: Blogging Is One Dilemma After Another
Some questions have no clear answers. We live in an often ambiguous world. We make choices with the best available information, pray the choices were right, drive on and adjust as we need to.
Blogging is no different.
How much time is TOO much time in the Rain? That answer will vary whether it's the person in the Rain, or the person watching the person in the Rain!
What do we post about today? Something evergreen that will keep bringing us business for years? Something more temporary? Once that local event is gone, it's gone! Something just for fun to appease the creative spark in our head and heart? Post solely to the consumers? Or to the Rainers? You're walking the tightrope between pure business and maintaining Rain relationships. One blog post or two? Or more?
How much information do we provide? Too much and do the consumers stop needing us? Too little and they don't think we know what we're talking about? Do they mistake us for the event host? The builder's rep?
How many posts can we read today? How many to comment on? What to say when we do? Do we agree or disagree, and if so, how?
Do you chase the points or just let them come as they may? Forcing activity just to hit an arbitrary mark?
Is your blogging activity working for you? Are you making your phone ring with your work? Is it time to reevaluate and adjust strategy?
The only dilemma we don't have? Whether or not to blog, that's a resounding YES!
