Texas is on the move, and just in case anyone doubts it, the Census shows that four of our metropolitan areas ranked in the top 10 in the U.S. for growth between 2006-2007. Dallas-Fort Worth ranked #1 in the nation in population growth. The other three Texas metro areas scoring in the top 10 are: San Antonio, Houston, and Austin.

Experts credit much of the growth in the South to relatively strong local economies and housing prices that are among the most affordable in the U.S." (Weber, P. (2008, March). Census: Texas is the hot place to live. Associated Press).

1 Comments on Census Confirms What Texans Know to Be True

Tina, I agree Texas is the place to live.  We have been here for 11 years now and have loved it.  I think we are going to see a lot more baby boomers moving in from the cold north in the next few years also.
