Being born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I can tell you there isn't any place in the world like home. Brooklyn is a very unique place that is larger than life at times. I will admit that I moved out of NYC almost a decade ago, but I still visit frequently. I am a Brooklynite for life!
Now when I was considering a new place to call home New Jersey was my top pick, but I was uncertain about the various areas, neighborhoods etc... 1) REASONABLY PRICED!! In Maplewood/South Orange we have homes ranging from 250k-1 mil plus. This means no matter what your budget is, we may have something to suit your needs. (I know these days Brooklyn real estate is pretty pricey)
2) LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! one of the most important parts of any move is the location. Maplewood/South Orange is located about 32 minutes from midtown Manhattan and has some beautiful homes located close to restaurants, transportation, parks, Movie theaters, places of worship, fitness centers, community pools and so much more.
3) AWESOME PEOPLE!! None of us want to live alone or have neighbors we don't like. in Maplewood/South Orange you will find some really down to earth, family friendly folks who enjoy all that these two towns provide. The shared school system features 1 high school (Columbia), 2 middle schools (Maplewood, South Orange) & 6 Elementary schools (Tuscan, Jefferson, Seth Boyden, South Mountain, Clinton & Marshall). There you will find good academics, sports and future building classrooms that prepare kids for the challenges ahead.
