Travel back in time a visit one of the oldest structures in Colorado, Slocum Cabin. Come take a tour of this historical home and talk with one of our volunteers on how the west might have been in the late 1800s.
Slocum cabin was believed to be built in 1859, by a trapper in this area. It was then acquired by an English man who sold it to Thomas Truxton Slocum, and remained in this family until 1970. In 1990 the cabin was donated to the park and moved to the park. With a few minor adjustments, the cabin stands in its original form, just as it did in the when years and years ago.
