Here are the TWO top things to consider and get you started along the path to How to buy a home in Phoenix or Laveen Arizona.

Truth is the tips would be the same anywhere in Arizona.  When it comes down to HOW to by a home in Phoenix or Laveen Arizona, you must have a starting point.  A great place to start the process is to find a professional to help you along the way, a Realtor.  A realtor especially that has the experience and knowledge to guide you along the path of the real estate transaction and succesfully get you into a home.  A good way to search is to google an area realtor, make a call to the realtor and ask some questions.  If you feel that the agent is knowledge able of the area your searching, then consider working with them.  Some good questions to ask might include:

Home many homes have you sold?

How long have you been working in real estate full time?  or are you doing it part time?

How is the real estate market?

How are values in the area, going up/down?

Is there a lot of inventory, or what should a buyer expect in todays market?

The buying process does take a LOT of communication, so if it is hard to get ahold of the Realtor you might want to consider someone else.  This will take us to the 2nd thing to do along the path to getting into a home, financing.

This second step (figuring out your financing) may actually be the best place to start in the process of buying a home, though step one as indicated has the benefit of an agent referring you to a GOOD and qualified lender.  Now, if you ARE a cash buyer, skip along to the next phase.  For most home buyers financing will need to be part of the equation to enable home ownership.  There are several forms of financing available, this is something that a lender should take the time to explain so you may decide on the best form of financing for your situation.  The financing aspect is something I like to call getting prequalified for a loan.  This is when a lender verifies your credit score and discussess your financial situation and the end result is getting qualified for the loan.  The lender at this point will be able to inform you of two very important things:

1.  How much you are qualified for

2.  What payments would be at different loan amounts. (key to staying within your budget)

Once you are prequalified for a loan and have a realtor, then comes the fun part - looking for a home.  Your realtor should be able to set you up with a search based on your own criteria, so have it set up and enjoy the experience.
