The Importance of Humor in Our Lives!

 

I think having a great sense of humor as well as being able to laugh at ourselves is very important.  Many times when I am having a very stressful day just taking a few minutes to unwind, talk with a friend who makes me laugh, or just sharing a smile for the day makes all the difference in the world.  I also find that the thing that was causing the stress is no longer a crisis.  Taking time away to just focus on something light hearted gives me time to see opportunities within the problem.  There are solutions for every problem.

 

So the next time you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, unhappy, uptight ... step away and be kind to yourself.  It will get better.

I had someone apologize to me the other day for laughing with me about a particularly stressful family situation.  I told them no apology was necessary.  The fact I could laugh with someone about it made me very comfortable.
