The Arizona Department of Education has issued this school a "C" grade. 
Our students are making very strong academic growth! At all grade levels, we have intervention programs to help students who may need extra support in reading or math. At Laird, Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) is the basis of our discipline. We strive to be proactive in all aspects, with on emphasis on our motto that all students should understand what it means to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn and will be motivated to achieve these qualities."
ClubZona
Before and after school care is provided by Clubzona, boys and girls club of the east valley. One program offered is Project Learn. "Project Learn reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school through "high-yield" learning activities at the Club and in the home. Based on Dr. Reginald Clark's research that shows fun, but academically beneficial activities increase academic performance, these activities include leisure reading, writing activities, homework help and games like Scrabble® which develop young people's cognitive skills. Project Learn emphasizes collaborations between Club staff, parents and school personnel. This Program has been formally evaluated by Columbia University, Project Learn has been proven to boost the academic performance of Club members."
