Yes a much later post than normal but I just got home a little while ago after getting to see Aerosmith at the Pepsi Center here in Denver CO.
It was a good show but I have seen them before so in comparison to other shows this one lacked but for good reason...
A few days ago the drummer Joey Kramer had a mild heart attack and had surgery. He is recovering but was sidelined for performing. They actually missed a show and then a few days later played in WA. I heard the news tonight that Joeys son Jesse was the replacement drummer!
Those are big shoes to fill and while I doubt many even knew of mistakes, being a drummer and knowing the songs, I heard multiple that threw me off a bit but I still have to hand it to the kid stepping in and playing in front of tens of thousands with a legendary band and with little, if any, practice at all.
So based on that I tip my hat to them as the show, as always, was good but just not quite the same without Joey Kramer behind the kit.
So with that said here is one pic and I am going to bed...
