Solar Power.........Finally!!

I love Solar powered things!!  We have a small Solar panel for our camper, I have a Solar powered book light other small lights and we have a Solar entry light for our home too! Finally.............Solar on our house! Have I taken it too far?

I found out a long time friend created a company that makes Solar lights. The company makes small lights for spaces, book lights and even electronics charging devices.  The company is named "Nokero" for "no kerosene", you can learn more about it on their web site.  I use the book light every day and I can't tell you how much I have saved on batteries!  Also we use the Crestone 200 model for night lights in our boys room and when we go camping! Finally......... we now have a Solar system on our house!!  We began the process last year with applying for a Solar rebate through the City of Fort Collins. We were lucky enough to be granted a rebate (they are first come first serve). Our system was designed and finally approved (by the City of Fort Collins) for installation in July.  The company we chose came and installed our system in two days.  Back to the City of Fort Collins for multiple inspections and utility approval.  One final approval with our Solar company and somewhere in the National Gov't and............... BAM!!! Solar System in operation!!!  We are saving ourselves a little money and most importantly doing the right thing!!  

We have had some great days of energy production so far.  We have produced over 30 kwh's a couple of days and average over 25 kwh's per day!!  I know this sounds silly but I'm actually looking forward to seeing our next electric bill! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
