My New Rochelle client was definitely a challenge. Having recently remodeled her kitchen in white, white and more white, I knew that a pop of color was definitely in order. And, the narrow space between the built in banquette and her oversized island, required that I design a custom table.
I work closely with a carpenter who does fabulous millwork. We designed a tabletop with a dark gray matte top and a stainless steel pedestal base, so that this family of four could easily fit around the table, with room to spare. Green sunbrella banquette cushions were custom upholstered and stunning back pillows complement her modern taste. For additional seating, two lucite ghost chairs, tinted green, will be arriving shortly.
The client does not want anything more on her windows but the silhouette shades that block out the sun. I love the way this dining area turned out and so does she! Next project, the living room!
