Hi folks, Scott Parman, here again with this weekends events in KC.

Let’s start with a big weekend in Parkville...lots to do!  Parkville Days is one of the biggest festivals in the Northland every year.  Starting tonight, there will be a carnival for the kids, Friday and saturday have live music on the main stage in English Landing Park, there’s a 5K Saturday morning, Civil war reenactments, and tons of local vendors and displays all weekend!  Check out parkvillmo.org for all the info!

Also in parkville this weekend, if you like to have a great time on your motorcycle for a good cause, get up to Frank James Saloon on Sunday for the 86 Cancer Poker Run.  Get all the info at www.agelinthesky.org.  I believe the route is going to take you out to Weston, over through Kearney and Liberty, and end up in North KC at Paul & Jacks for great live music with Outlaw Jim & the Whiskey Benders and the Roman Alexander Band.

If you’re making the local festival circuit, you can also get out to Bonner Springs for Tiblow Days!  PThere’s a link below where you can check out the entire schedule, but if you like your music with a harder edge, they have Saving Abel saturday night for a free concert.  There’s a ton of other things to do like a car show and bbq contest as well.

Go take a look at www.Crossroadskc.com  to check out the lineup for Grinders this weekend.  If you are huge auto-tune fan, you can catch T-Pain on Friday night.  The Rainmakers will be there saturday as well.

Uptown Theater has Chris Isaak on Friday night and Sunday they’ll host the culmination of the Paris of the Plains cocktail festival, their bartending competition.  Paris of the Plains has a ton of events centered around enjoying a cocktail while celebrating the history and culture of Kansas City.  They’ll have mixologists and bar experts from around the world.  Look it all up at www.popfestkc.com  .

Don’t forget about the 3rd preseason game for the Chiefs out at Arrowhead Saturday nite!  They Vikings are in town for our guys to polish up their game for the real season!  If you can’t make it out, you can see it on KCTV5.  www.kcchiefs.com

Royals are out of town this weekend, but still in First place.

The Other first place team in town, Sporting KC, has DC United at sporting park on Saturday evening.

Okay folks, that’s enough for now.  As usual, I didn’t get everything.  If none of these interest you, a website I like to use for their calendar is The Pitch.  It’s listed below, and they always have a great list of everything going on for music and the arts in town.  www.pitch.com

I hope you’ve found it helpful...I’m Scott...see you next time!
