With Google's new... we want 1000 words for value for your post to rank well I have put a LOT more time into the my posts recently. I also wanted to get the most "bang for my buck" out of those posts and not only do my business page "INSIGHTS" let me track, but so do my "short URL clicks" here at ActiveRain. It lets me know when not only did those posts reach the number of people in seeing it in their newsfeed, but also who clicked through to read the post. And in my most recent posts I've been adding "if you'd like to receive my month email newsletter send me an email with that in the subject line" I've had past buyers email me they'd like to get it (even if they weren't my buyers) and I've had people email me and say they'd love to get it.
On a recent post on my Facebook page I had a consumer write and ask me a question about some additional information she was curious about. She inspired the last post I wrote. I got the information to her and then wrote a post about it. That post was NOT on my business page, but a person in my community had shared it from my business page to a Lake Sinclair community page.
It's a public page with LOTS of members and many times when I write a post and then post it to MY business page someone who is both a follower of my business page and a member of that community group will share it there. So it gets in front of lots of people without me having to do it. Not only have I gotten business from my business page on facebook, I've also gotten business from that community group page as well. People tag me and recommend me as a broker in that group a lot. I've become a "go to" person when they need a local recommendation. (and don't tell anyone, but a another broker started the group, he just doesn't think facebook is for business and doesn't go there much)
Now back to the numbers...
I boost a post about once a week for $20 to $30. That targeted boost also generally results in me getting a few new likes on my page as well. The most recent one I did reached nearly 6000 people, but only 100 of them clicked through and read the post. That's okay. I got some business from that 100. My organic reach isn't too bad either. As you can see the posts I didn't boost got from 89 views to 200 views. The most recent that only had 207 views... of that 207...
I had 100 people click on that post. And while I LOVE LOVE LOVE my peeps at ActiveRain to click on my posts and leave me a comment, ultimately I really want consumer clicks. And with sharing my posts on my business page I get those.
just wanted to add an update to this post. 9 hours more and more people have clicked on that latest Lake Sinclair post.
So my answer is YES to Facebook.
